ASME, DOT, AND UN standards transport vessels with custom and turnkey solutions
At CBC Global, we work directly with our customers to fabricate custom non-DOT (Special Permit) Specification Cylinders (Portable Vessels). This process includes developing concepts, designs, engineering, CAD drawings, final designs, manufacturing, and sales. These cylinders all conform to the US Department of Transportation (DOT), Transport Canada (TC), and European regulations.
We have the engineering and regulatory skills needed to provide a turnkey conceptual design for a fabrication project to meet your transportation needs. We know that you have very specific requirements, and our capacity and pressure transport packages are tailor-made to your exact specifications.
CBC Global manufactures containers that consistently rank at the very top of the industry for Safety, Convenience and Efficiency.
Industries Served
Transport Skids – CBC Global has designed a unique solution for lifting, transporting, and storing the 106A and 110A US DOT-style tanks. Our saddle and strap design allows you to place the tank into a cradle with an over-the-top strap and locking mechanism that has forklift pockets mounted underneath for easy transportation.
Some people call our focus on quality control extreme. That’s fine with us. Our testing protocol is one of the reasons galvanized kettles from CBCGlobal rank at the very top of the industry for safety, convenience and efficiency.
Quality Control
Quality control at CBC Global begins by specifying the ideal steel composition for our steel producer. It continues with ongoing research on the resistance of our kettle steel to the various available zinc alloys, furnaces, and burner types on the market.
Ultrasonic Testing
Furthermore, our fabrication process is completely standardized, and products undergo continuous scrutiny as they are built, including Ultrasonic Testing of all structural welds.
Stress-Relieving
After fabrication, all kettles (except stainless steel kettles) undergo a complete stress-relieving process before they are shipped. This ensures our customers the advantages of faster heat-up and eliminates the burden and responsibility of having to properly stress-relieve the kettles themselves during installation and start-up.
Inspection/Data Package
A final inspection is performed and documented before shipment. Each customer receives a data package of all related documents with their product.

Columbiana Boiler Company celebrated 125 years in business in 2019, but 2024 marks another milestone — Columbiana Boiler Company is officially changing it’s corporate trade name to CBC Global.
Company officials recognized a change was needed. “The name change better represents our expanding product lines and markets.” said Michael Koprivnak, CBC president. “We have not made boilers in many years, but we have made substantial inroads and grown in several other markets such as specialty and D.O.T. containers, as well as kettles to support the hot dip galvanizing industry.”
Many of CBC’s products are being shipped to customers all across the globe. “Our products are now used in the aerospace, pharmaceutical, food manufacturing and many other industries.” said Koprivnak.
The company continues to maintain it’s manufacturing plant and offices at 200 Railroad Street in Columbiana, Ohio. The website has changed to www.CBCglobalco.com.
